About the mandatory internship

The internship is an academic activity of practice and professional qualification, which aims to complement the theoretical-practical teaching and can only be carried out in a place agreed with the UFJ. The students in mathematics will be able to attend the Mandatory Curricular Internship only from the 5th period of the course.

The Mandatory Curricular Internship is distributed in the following curricular components, with the respective time loads and period of accomplishment in the suggested flow:

• Mandatory Curriculum Internship I - 96 hours - 5th Period;

• Mandatory Curriculum Internship II - 96 hours - 6th Period;

• Mandatory Curriculum Internship III - 96 hours - 7th Period;

• Mandatory Curriculum Internship IV - 112 hours - 8th Period.

About the Non Mandatory Internship

With regard to the Non Mandatory Internship in the Mathematics Degree Course of UFJ will be a complement of activities for the formation of the academic, performed by free choice of the same enabling the student to expand their professional training.

This type of internship may be developed in companies, public or private institutions provided they meet the objectives exposed above and their workload will be a maximum of 20 hours per week to be completed at a time different from that developed in the Curricular Internship Mandatory. The students in mathematics can take some Non Mandatory Curricular Internship from the 2nd period of the course.
