Knowing the Mathematics course

The Mathematics Degree course is inserted in the Jataí Regional of the Federal University of Goiás (UFG-REJ), since the 80's and was definitively implanted in 1996, in a ascendant whose most recent development was the implantation of the professional master's course (PROFMAT), offering continued formation and increasing the quality of the Mathematics teaching of the whole region.

The objective of the course is to train professionals who know and critically master the mathematical content and who are capable of transposing it to the various complex needs of Basic Education and Teaching of Youth and Adults, being also able to follow their studies in graduate courses or still act as a mathematical professional in non-academic activities.

The impact and importance of the course can be seen through the significant increase, since the implementation in the course, in the number of teachers with adequate training acting in the Mathematics classes of the region.
