THE MATH COURSE
The objective of the Degree in Mathematics is to train professionals who know and critically master the mathematical content and who are capable of transposing it to the various complex needs of Basic Education and Teaching of Youth and Adults, being also able to follow their studies in graduate courses or still act as a mathematical professional in non-academic activities;
The shift of operation is afternoon, the minimum duration is 8 semesters and the maximum, 14 semesters.

PHYSICAL STRUCTURE
The mathematics course has two laboratories for exclusive use and one for shared use.
CEPEM (Center for Teaching and Research in Mathematics Education) is the oldest teaching laboratory of the Campus, functioning uninterruptedly since 1997; this laboratory has an exclusive study room for the students of the course, a meeting room, besides a large collection of pedagogical support material for the subjects of Mathematics Education that compose the course.
LaMAp (Laboratory of Mathematics and its Applications) is the computer laboratory of the course and has machines 24 hours a day connected to the internet, in which the free software most used in Mathematics and Mathematics Education are already installed and available to teachers and students of the course.
LEIS (Image and Sound Laboratory) is a laboratory for recording and editing audiovisual media, which is available for recording video lessons, teleconferences and other audiovisual materials that teachers and students are interested in. Its use is shared with other sectors of the Campus, especially the Exact Sciences and the Communication Office of the Campus.
